SSG draws the main pool of its manpower from the armed forces of Pakistan through advertisements, direct liaison with Army Welfare Trust, and District Soldier Boards.
Applicants are selected with a focus on discipline, service record, suitability, verification, and readiness for professional security duties. Ex-servicemen with a minimum service of ten years form the preferred manpower base.

Service Criteria
