SSG draws main pool of its manpower from armed forces of Pakistan through advertisements, direct liaison with Army Welfare Trust and District Soldier Boards. The applicants must be:

Ex-servicemen with a minimum service of ten years
Aged between 35-45
Verified exemplary character
Verified ‘A’ category medically
Minimum 5.8 feet

Special Services Group and Military Police personnel are given preference in selection and are also awarded special allowances. Candidates with educational qualifications also preferred with higher salary package.

Credentials of candidates are sent to relevant record offices and local police for character verification as well as Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan and Provincial Governments for vetting of antecedents. On receipt of clearance from these authorities, the duly vetted and verified candidates are inducted in SSG work force after successful completion of training courses.

Comprehensive personal data of candidates is collected and stored in database along with photographs. Our database has complete up-to-date details of black-listed security personnel on industry level and is capable of detecting/checking enrollment of these individuals through scanning of fingerprints, NIC # and personal data. The current strength of our company consists of over 2800 security personnel.
